It means, deleting a profile photo from accounts.google.com will remove it from all the Google applications.

How to Remove Google Profile Picture on PC?
To remove Google user profile picture on PC, follow the below steps –
- Go to accounts.google.com
- Log into your Google Account
- Select Personal Info from the left side menu
- Click on Photo
- Click on Remove from the pop-up
Wait for the changes to be saved and your profile picture will be deleted from all Google services.
Note: Deleted Google profile photos will be saved in your Google Album Archive which you can use later.
How to Delete Google Profile Picture on Mobile
On Android Device
To delete Google profile photo on your android device, follow the below steps –
- Go to your phone Settings
- Scroll down and select Google Settings
- Tap on Manage Your Google Account
- Select Personal Info
- Scroll down a bit to Choose What Others See and tap on Go to About Me
- In the Profile Picture section, select Manage Your Profile Picture
- Tap on Remove

On iPhone and Other iOS Devices
If you are trying to remove Google profile photo using your iPhone or iPad then there is no direct settings are available to manage your Google account. Thus, you need to get the help of any Google product installed on your iOS device either it could be Gmail, YouTube or any other Google service you are using.
Here, I am using Gmail to show you step by step process of how to remove profile picture from Google account using iPhone or other iOS devices.
- Open Gmail App in your iPhone
- Log into your Account
- Tap on Gmail Hamburger menu on the top left side and select Settings
- Select One Email Address if you are using multiple Gmail Accounts
- Tap on Manage Your Google Account
- Go to Personal Info
- Tap on Profile Photo
- Select Remove
Your Google profile picture will be deleted and replaced with your Google Account name’s initials.

If you didn’t delete your profile picture from Google Photos, then you can restore your deleted Google profile picture. Just go to accounts.google.com and select Personal Info. Now click on Photo and Add Profile Photo, select Google Photos. Next, you will see all the photos you have uploaded to Google including your deleted profile picture. Select the Profile Picture and Click on Save as Profile Picture.
Sometimes your Google Profile Avatar keeps visible even after removing it from your Google Account. In such a case, you need to look for that profile picture in Google Album Archives (get.google.com/albumarchive/) and Google Contacts (contacts.google.com) and delete it.
