Google seems trying to change the way you order food online using websites or mobile apps of food services.
Recently, Google has partnered with some famous food companies like DoorDash, Postmates, and ChowNow to revolutionize the way of food delivery.
Here is the surprise, now you can order food online from aforementioned food companies without downloading their mobile apps. Yes, you can now order your favorite food directly from Google Maps, Google Search or Google Assistant.
In Google search or Maps, now you can see “Order Online” button when you search for supported restaurants. Here, you can select pickup and delivery and can select the service you want to order your food through. If the restaurant supports it, then you can do entire food selection and ordering process through Google interface.
If you have previously ordered food from supported restaurants, then you can repeat the same food just by asking to Google voice assistant. Isn’t it Great!
For now, this new functionality supports only five food delivery companies at launch such as, DoorDash, Postmates, Delivery.com, Slice, and ChowNow. Google will soon add Zuppler and others in the list.
However, some major food delivery services like Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Grubhub, and Just Eat are missing from Google’s new feature, at least for now.
